On Friday, May 1st & Saturday, May 2nd, our dojo will be hosting special seminars by Master Ochiai, a black belt testing, and the 3rd Annual Hidy Ochiai NOVA Cup Junior Tournament!
Friday, November 7 – Special Class with Master Ochiai & Black Belt Testing
- 5:30 – 6:45 PM: Osensei will be giving a special extended All Ranks class for Wa-shin Ryu students of all ranks and all ages 6 and up.
- 6:45 pm – 7:45 PM (approx.): Master Ochiai and the Wa-shin Ryu Dan Committee will be holding a black belt testing session for Wa-shin Ryu brown-belt students.
Saturday, November 8 – Mini-Seminar & Junior Tournament
Mini-Seminar wih Master Ochiai
- 9:00 – 10:00 AM: Tanden and self-defense techniques for Wa-shin Ryu students of all ranks and all ages 6 and up and their non-student family members!
Tournament
The tournament is open to the public! The competition is for Wa-shin Ryu students only all ranks ages 6 and up. Students will be traveling to our school from all over the country to compete in the tournament!
Tournament Schedule:
- 10:00 AM – Doors open
- 10:30 AM – Competition begins
- 12:00 PM – Adult exhibition including kata, weapons, and team kumite
- 12:45 PM – All competitors and spectators receive complimentary lunch and a gift from Master Ochiai!
- 2:00 PM – Approximate end of the tournament
