COVID-19 POLICY & PROCEDURES UPDATE

As of February 28, 2022, we are relaxing our COVID safety procedures and protocols in accordance with the new CDC guidelines

We understand that everyone may not agree on how to move forward during this next phase of the pandemic. We will continue to do our best to find a middle ground, so that we may return to normal martial arts practice while still keeping the health and safety of everyone in our school a top priority.

We will also continue to monitor closely our area’s COVID-19 community level, and we will update our safety procedures and protocols as needed in compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines.

Masking: Masks are now optional for all students, juniors and adults. Students may still choose to wear a mask if they would like.

Temperature Checks: We are removing temperature checks at the door. During the past two years while we have been doing them, no one has come to the dojo with a fever. We are very proud and thankful that all of our students and their families have been so respectful of their fellow students and of the dojo by staying away when they are sick or suspect they may not be well, and only returning once they have fully recovered. Because of this, we are fully confident in removing the temperature checks.

Thank you again to everyone for your care and deep consideration of one another!

Class Protocols: Given the very high vaccination rate in our area and the wide prevalence of vaccine availability for people of all ages, both juniors and adults will no longer need to physically distance, regardless of vaccination status. All students may now return to practicing partnered technique, both self-defense techniques and sport sparring!

Class capacity will now be at 100%. To date, to allow for physical distancing, we have capped the class capacity at about 60 – 65%.

Also, all current cleaning procedures will remain in place, and we are keeping the HEPA air filters placed throughout the dojo, operating as they have been.

We’re excited about these changes, and we hope you are too!
